East Bay native Kevin Lee started his career with several decades working for electronics and computer networking firms in Silicon Valley. He was an active outdoorsman and loved skiing on snow, water and even desert( don’t ask unless you want him to talk forever about Burningman) until a catastrophic diving accident in 2004 left him partially paralyzed. Since his recovery he has been very active in the Spinal Cord Injury(SCI) and disability communities, including co-leading weekly SCI Peer Support meetings. He’s been a ReCARES Board Member since 2012, Treasurer since 2019, and actively involved in day-to-day operations since 2021. When he’s not volunteering Kevin can usually be found at the wood lathe in his garage turning logs into mostly sawdust. 🙂
